Criticism

« Back to Glossary Index

Criticism refers to the act of pointing out faults, mistakes, or areas for improvement in someone’s work, behavior, or ideas. It can be constructive (helpful and meant to improve) or harsh/destructive (negative and meant to hurt).

Example Paragraph:

Lisa’s artwork received criticism from her teacher, who pointed out that her shading technique needed improvement. While the feedback was tough to hear, she knew it was meant to help her grow as an artist. However, some classmates made harsh criticisms, mocking her work instead of offering useful advice. Lisa chose to focus on the constructive criticism, using it as motivation to refine her skills and prove her talent.
